I don’t even know how to describe this situation but I’ll try. My husband’s employer changed from one benefits/payroll provider to another one. Last month we signed up and were provided with an email clarifying that everything was done. On the 1st, we were told someone had deleted the dependents and were added again. We were told their system updates on Mondays and Tuesday everyone would be active.
Well, today I went to the doctor after confirming the insurance was active. I get there and I’m told it doesn’t show me on the insurance. I just paid the self pay and told them I would have them run it again for a refund from the insurance company. I call the insurance company and once again am told I was active yesterday. Sigh…
Then my pharmacy calls and says the new insurance won’t run bc it’s showing “wrong birthday”. Both the pharmacist and I call the insurance company and are told my birthday is correct, so is my name and social. They tell him I don’t show up on the policy. They tell me I do.
I call the insurance company again and they tell me they can’t find me when they run my name but I show up under his policy. At this point I’m exhausted and now more confused than ever. Then the insurance agent puts me on hold and runs it again and all of the sudden I show up but I don’t when the doctor’s office and the pharmacy files a claim. The information is correct. Nothing has changed besides the insurance.
I just don’t get it. How is this happening? The insurance agents have no idea either. Is it a glitch? Seriously I have no idea and am not just wanting it fixed but I want to know what is going on. Has anyone else dealt with something like this? Does anyone have any clue what could be the problem?
