Hi! I am working on a school project about acceptance of insurance across different medical specialties in the US. In particular, I am researching which medical specialties tend to accept insurance, which don’t, and why. I am mostly focused on private or employer-sponsored health insurance.
Anecdotally, I know that psychiatrists are less likely to take insurance than physicians from other specialties, and found some good data on the subject. I am wondering if there are other specialties where insurance acceptance is very low or very high? Any help would be very much appreciated!
