I have health insurance with Aetna and prescriptions handled by CVS Caremark through my job. I have been giving my Aetna card when I get my prescriptions and didn’t know Caremark was even a thing until recently. What is the difference between them? Will my prescriptions be the same price if I give my Aetna card vs giving my Caremark card? Do I need to get my prescription from CVS if I use Caremark? When would it be a better idea to use GoodRX than my insurance? I just want to get my prescriptions for the cheapest price possible. Any additional advice for getting prescriptions cheap would be much appreciated.
