Am I missing something Here!?

I am a 35 year old, single, finish carpenter in Maine. I haven’t had health insurance since moving from Massachusetts 5 years ago, due to the cost. I do have some health issues/concerns that I’d like to get checked out, and heard about the marketplace being open, so I just checked out the plans. With my income of ~55k/year, it puts the cheapest plan at 380/month with a 9000 deductible. Does this actually mean I would have to pay 4800 dollars in premium, plus 9000 out of Pocket, before the insurance kicks in?? Who could possibly afford such a ridiculous plan? Am I crazy, or dumb, or just totally confused? I’ve clawed my way into the lower middle class and yet am unable to have any kind of regular or preventative healthcare.
