So, I think I got coverage figured out. I just want know how this happens in the first place because I got booted off my plan, and it really screwed me over. I’ve been trying to get this surgery on my shoulder forever.
It got canceled once because of the pandemic; then, I lost my insurance because my left arm is almost entirely useless, and I haven’t been able to get a job I can do.
I got poor enough to get on a Priority Health Medicaid plan this year, but then I had to restart the whole process because my old doctor is out of network. I went in today for the final consult before my surgery, and my coverage was cancelled. I was also told that my last few visits, including an MRI, weren’t covered, and I had to foot the bill, so I left.
Now I’m rescheduled for the end of August, I think I got those bills and coverage figured out. I’m just trying to figure out if I did something wrong to cause this because no one I’ve spoken with has been much help beyond “this just happens sometimes.”
