My doctor ordered me an ultrasound out of concern for a growth in my scrotum. I was never given the slightest hint that this would not be considered a medically necessary procedure and am now stuck with a sizable bill. I really think it should be covered considering my doctor ordered it and given my family history of cancer. Should I be appealing this bill to the health care facility or to insurance?
