If you take any of the BlueCross Blueshield PPO plans in healthcare marketplace, they have a $15,000 deductible for out-of-network (OON) care, they will will cover 50% after that with no out of pocket max. I’m currently unemployed but will need to get some expensive OON care, in-network providers will not work for my condition. Are there any plans for unemployed/self-employed with decent OON care? How can I figure out what different employer’s health insurance plans might offer as far as OON care goes? It would be a huge savings in my case.
