My brain doesn’t work very well these days and I need step by step or I get lost and frustration and anxiety take over. I have really poor critical thinking skills and a very poor memory. I get overwhelmed and my brain shuts down. I have Medicare A&B but thats it. I pay $148.50 Per month. Do I need to get Medicaid? Are all Arkansas plans private? Cover normal stuff for my age plus eyes, ears, Transportation services, Medication, Smoker I have lots of anxiety about choosing the correct plan for me. Plan cost? Downpayment? Deductible? Networks? Cost? How do I keep myself from being screwed over and get a plan that works for me? What plans or companies should I avoid?
I made several calls yesterday trying to get info on if Medicare provides non emergency Transportation and everyone I talked to was from India with a thick accent and I had to call back a couple of times because we couldn’t communicate. They didn’t understand me and I couldn’t them. Is this normal?
They couldn’t find me in the system. I gave them the Medicare number with the dashes included as that was how it was on my card. Same thing when I went to Medicare.gov. Turns out it will only take the numbers and not dashes. Those that I called that do this all day didn’t know that. I never called back to see if it the Transportation people could find me in the system if they didn’t use the dashes.
