Hi, all. Not sure if this is the right place, pls redirect me if it isn’t.
My aunt (58) has been in the hospital for over a month now, almost all of it in the ICU for COVID. She is currently on a vent and we do not know when she might come off of it. She is likely to need long term rehabilitation if she makes it through this.
She does not have health insurance, and she is unlikely to qualify for Medicaid.
If she gets insurance during open enrollment in October, will they cover whatever treatment she might be receiving at the time? How does this work when someone is presently receiving treatment for something?
