I have Anthem gold plan through my employer. I just had twin baby girls and they’ve been in the NICU for 2 weeks.
Because of this, I know we will hit our family max out of pocket for the year.
Three questions.
This counts as a qualifying event and I can switch our insurance. Would it be smarter to go on the bronze plan to pay less monthly and a little bit of a higher out of pocket?
The girls are covered under me for 30 days. If they come home prior to 30 days will it still count as my individual out of pocket max or will it automatically switch to family plan?
If we do max out our plan, can my husband get a vasectomy that is fully covered?
Thanks so much for any help or advice!
