I added my baby to our current Anthem HDHP through the ACA. These are his charges for his own birth, he was billed separately so these all went towards his deductible. Pediatrics $510 Laboratory $448 (must be the state mandated blood test) Room charges $1975 (I also was charged for room and board on my side of the bill) Pharmacy $270.59 (likely the vitamin K shot and the eye ointment)
I’m debating asking for an itemized bill. Does anything here look worth arguing over? I feel like some things should be covered as preventative care….
I was admitted at 12:30 am on the 28th, had the baby around 4am. Spent the following evening in the hospital and went home the next day which was the 29th.
