Of course my BCBS account finally got updated with information on my hospital bill right before the weekend. Gave birth on the 3rd via induction which prior to going in we confirmed induction was covered in general. Claimed was posted and denied for 22k from the hospital and says that no pre-authorization was received or something like that. I can only imagine others have dealt with this nonsense? Any advice as what this means and what to do? Going to call insurance to start when they’re open again and then my doctor and the hospital if need be but looking to see if anyone knows what to expect or advice as to what to say to these people.
