I am about to begin a job in billing/scheduling in the health field and am wondering what resources are out there to get up to speed and come in with any basic knowledge of the topic. I got the job because of my customer service/positive attitude in another position in the clinic, but I know NOTHING about health insurance, clinic operations, etc. I haven’t checked myself in to a clinic in over 5 years and the only insurance I know is orange juice, drink water, and change your socks. I’m a hard worker, good learner, and have confidence going in, but would like some resources to get going on before starting. TIA!
