My ex pays for the kids health insurance therefore the account is in his name with a password he set up. I previously knew the log on info and used it to look for doctors/specialists. My daughter tells me tonight she wants to find a psychologist so I log on and the password has changed.
The ex recently got remarried so I am assuming the new wife is now on the account and changed it for privacy reasons.
I have always been the one to research doctors and make appointments so it makes sense I still have access (plus I have majority custody and would be the one taking them to appointments.) I asked my ex to call the insurance company to find out if the kids can have a separate log on, this has to be a pretty common issue, right? How do divorced parents handle this?
