Hello everyone. I’m not entirely sure where to ask this, so I thought this might be the best place to start.
I injured my lower back at work, and after running in circles with the work comp insurance for a year and a half, the QME determined I have 9% permanent partial disability. The stress of being denied treatments and tests for months on end (with my occupational health doctor pretty much shrugging every time I had to come in since she wasn’t making progress with the insurance, either) made me inclined to do a compromise and release of my claim.
I have very good insurance through my husband’s job (a platinum Kaiser Permanente plan), though I’m unsure how to navigate getting treatment for my back when it’s acting up. Would treatment for this permanent partial disability be denied through my insurance?
