Can I buy one month of coverage?

I’m about to turn 26 so I’ll no longer be eligible for my parents health coverage. I also just landed a job that will give me health insurance after a month of working for them. Starting in about a week, there will be a 3 week period where I will not be on either plan.

I’m healthy generally, however I’ve started experiencing some heartburn and bloating and stuff and was wanting to go get it checked out. It seems like there’s at least some chance that I might have a test done, and if I do it will be very expensive without insurance.

Is it viable for me to purchase a single month of coverage just in case I need a test or something done within that three week period?
