Open enrollment period closed for both of us, and we were so busy we didn’t change things, but I believe my work will let me drop my insurance next week. If we voluntarily drop my insurance will that be an event which will allow us to switch to her insurance? I am on a high deductible plan and we are going to have a baby in the beginning of this year and therefore I think it makes sense to switch insurance.
