Can I just change who my PCP is?

I’m not really happy with my current PCP. I don’t feel like he listens and is just pushing weight loss but not helping with things I think are underlying issues. I’ve seen the PA and she’s alright but I don’t feel like she listens either.

So can I just contact my insurance and change providers? I found someone in network but not in my medical group and idk if I need to change medical groups too or how that works.

Edit to answer the bot’s questions: I’m 22, located in Orange County, CA, and make about $24,000/year. I’m still on my mom’s insurance plan. It’s through CalPERS and is a Blue Shield HMO plan
