My father had a stroke 3 weeks ago and is need of a primary care doctor. My father is also in need of getting rehab through skilled nursing facility or inpatient rehab. His medi-cal was approved today and the case manager said he needs a primary care doctor in order to refer my father to a facility. He is getting discharged home so I need to take care of him in the meantime. Can’t I choose a facility for my father? I don’t him to be placed in a bad one. How long does it take for a health plan to get approved? And can i just find a primary care doctor without a health plan yet? Sorry for all of the questions
