I tried to sign my dad up with a Platinum Kaiser plan, but there was a disclaimer which stated that individuals who are eligible for Medicare part A, or B, cannot sign up. The open enrollment for Medicare Part B begins in January, and the coverage doesn’t actually begin until July! To put it bluntly – he’s dying right now and needs the care now. Where do I sign up for a private health plan? A high premium isn’t an issue.
