Please excuse me if this is a stupid question I’m genuinely curious and slightly confused. I’m from Indiana and a few months ago I applied and was approved for HIP Plus. More recently though my employer told me I was eligible for insurance so I went ahead and did the paperwork and got my card yesterday. I was curious if you could have both private and state funded insurance at the same time? Is it fraud to do so? I’m considered below poverty level so I hope that that is the case because private insurance will not cover everything. I still want the benefits of it though so I can see my usual doctor and certain treatments I need are covered. Thanks in advance. Please let me know if you need more information from me.
TLDR: can you have both state (Indiana HIP) and private insurance at the same time?
