As the title states, I purchased a massage device for soreness and body aches and it seems to be helping a bit. I found out after I made the purchase that I could potentially get reimbursed for this purchase through my FSA if i receive a “Letter of Medical Necessity”. I have a history of pain with my doctors and pursuing various means of helping that (xrays, pills, physical therapy, etc.), so I think I should be able to get one.
Does anyone know if, or have experience with, the FSA rejecting claims if the dates don’t match up? Since I will be receiving a LMN after the purchase is made, will this throw up any red flags?
If it does get rejected, are there other ways to get it approved? Could I purchase another, get that reimbursed, and return it (is that fraud?)?
