Hello everyone, I recently hit my out of pocket maximum for cancer related treatment. However, I am still seeing hospital bills after the insurance has paid the negotiated rate, being charged to me for the remainder. Again these are covered charges, the negotiated rate was paid yet I am still being billed although I’ve already hit my work sponsored health care plans out of pocket maximum for this in network hospital.
I just want to know if this is a legal balance billing example in North Carolina. This is a major hospital in a large metro area.
