It’s really important that I’m able to change plans during this period.
On the healthcare.gov homepage, it tells you that Open Enrollment has begun and that you should be able to sign up for or change plans up until May 15th. I have verified that this applies in my state.
When I log in and click “Change Plans” under my medical plan, it takes me to a webpage saying that I do not qualify for a Special Enrollment Period.
I called customer service and the representative helping me clearly didn’t have a clue as to how to help. I’m going to call back to see if I can get ahold of someone more useful in the meantime, but I could really use some help if anyone can offer any. The only other thing I could think to do would be to withdraw my current application and terminate my current coverage in an attempt to start from scratch, but obviously I’m reluctant to do that unless I can guarantee that it would work.
