Changing insurances and jobs when you have a pre-existing condition and on an expensive drug therapy.

Cross posted from the MS page:

We are in Oregon on UMR and potentially moving to upstate NY with an unknown insurance plan.

My husband just had us first two half doses of Ocrevus at the end of April/beginning of May. We are potentially looking to relocate from Oregon to western NY to be closer to family and looking into potential job changes as well. We noticed a bunch of job applications list “voluntary disclosure of a disability” where MS is included on those forms, which has been insanely disheartening for my husband (but I’m deviating here and we don’t volunteer up that he has MS). Our big big fear is that he gets a job and a hypothetical fall out of switching jobs is that he has to list his pre-existing condition, and then going into the whole several month long song and dance for him getting on Ocrevus, and he either misses his second dose come November or the insurance straight up denies him being on Ocrevus in the first place.

Mainly just looking for advice on how to switch jobs on such aggressive and expensive drug therapy and the challenges of changing health insurances when having MS.
