Have Cigna Open Access Plus plan and had blood work done at the doctor’s office last month. The Dr is in network and just paid the copay. Today I received a letter from Cigna/Dataisight for $200 saying its not a BILL and they will try to negotiate with the Lab for lowering my portion of the out of network (lab) fees. I logged into Cigna website and see the amount owed is only $50.
Should I wait for the exact amount owed from the Lab? Will it be $50 (and not $200) and guess there will be online/phone payment options. There is an option to pay online through cigna website.
Is 1 the best option to pay and will company’s HRA debit card (i paid for dr office copay) be valid for this “out of network” lab fees?
