Edit: Not sure if it matters but I’m 29, in TX, income of 85k.
I have primary health insurance from my full-time job. I got a second job in order to get IVF benefits and have since quit and am paying for COBRA to keep those benefits. My primary insurance is up for renewal in July (plan year begins September 1st) and I was planning on keeping the same coverage but change my FSA contributions (assuming that I get pregnant in the next year). Does changing/renewing my primary insurance count as a qualifying event for COBRA termination?
I’m in the middle of IVF and really need to keep my IVF benefits so I want to make sure I’m doing everything right.
Thanks!!
