As a physician, it is disappointing that I can’t easily find an answer to my question. I’m between jobs (less than 10 days of which I’m almost through). I have a few minor medical conditions which won’t come up between jobs. From what I can tell, pre-existing conditions and a tax penalty for not having continuous coverage are the only two possible down sides to not getting coverage. However, it doesn’t look like either of those problems are currently in play with today’s laws. I didn’t want to spend the $$ for a month of coverage if I don’t get any benefit. Thoughts?
