Coming back from FMLA – Health Insurance

Hey everybody. First time parents to twin boys here. My wife and I are having a problem deciding on what we want to do regarding her job. She is definitely quitting, but we are not sure if she is going to give a “3-week” notice and work it. If she does not work the 3 weeks, then her handbook states that she will not get paid for her accrued sick time and she will be ineligible for rehire. Both of these don’t affect our decision. What we are concerned about is if her company can force her to pay back what her health insurance has already paid. Obviously having twins our medical bills were quite high. We don’t want her to quit and then be stuck with a massive bill. Is that even possible?
