Company HSA vs PPO

Hey all!

I’m starting a job soon, and this is the health care options they provide.

There’s a PPO that it says costs what seems like an insane price ($500/check) and then still has quite high co-pays for most visits, and then an HSA “saver plan” that includes a $4k deductible. The company also pays half of the deductible into the HSA, so I’m thinking that’s the clearly better plan, but I’m looking for a sanity check. Is it better? If so, why would anyone choose the PPO? Thanks!
