Comparing new health insurance options.

Hi all,

I’m trying to compare my wife’s new health insurance options.

Our choices are between the EPO (which costs $0.00/per paycheck for coverage for me and her) or the PPO ($436.98 per paycheck for coverage for me and her).

I’m a dummy when it comes to insurance. We’re both young and healthy with no outstanding health issues (thankfully).

Just looking over the plans, the EPO seems to be a no-brainer. It has a no deductible, lower maximum out-of-pocket, and flat or no charges on professional services. And it costs us nothing.

The only caveat I can think of is that we must go in-network on literally everything or be on the hook for 100% of whatever charge we incur. On the other hand, from my research, this plan appears to be widely accepted in my area.

Is there anything I’m missing?
