Coordination of Benefits

I recently started to be covered by 2 insurance companies. I went to a doctor visit, which was later charged to both companies and I got 2 EOB.

Primary EOB stated: Amount billed: 155$ Adjustment: 50.84$ Insurance Pay: 93.74$ Amount I Owe: 10.42$

Secondary EOB stated: Amount billed: 155$ Adjustment:52.3$ Other insurance pay: 93.74$ Insurance Pay:0$ (I did not yet meet the deductible on this plan) Amount I owe: 8.96$ (which I assume is 155-52.3-93.74)

I got a bill from the doctor office for 10.42$, basically ignoring the amount owed on secondary EOB.

The difference is quite small (1.44$), but I am trying to understand how this works and was this calculated correctly.

Thanks!
