Couple of quick questions

I posted then deleted this but I’ll try this again.

This is in Texas

I quit my job on 6/23 and am now searching for Health Insurance (Using Healthcare.gov) searching through plans I’m only seeing really high priced plans ~$200 for catastrophic type plans. I have no kids and don’t appear to qualify for any subsidies or credits. 27, with around 10k income this year.

Is there any other place I should be looking or any other options or is this just it?

If I wanted to could I use COBRA and switch to one of these plans due to the current special enrollment period in August?
