Hi I was wondering if someone could help me understand better this billing situation. I have a hospital bill for my son that is roughly $2200 for a fall. He was double covered at the time with insurance. Primary deductible met but was out of network. Secondary had $650 left of deductible and was in network. Primary did not pay anything and secondary only paid $200 which was my coinsurance for my primary. I now have a bill for the remaining $2000. My secondary that was in network says my portion should only be like $850 with the contracted rates. The information I am getting from the hospital is that they do not have to honor those rates. How and why??? How can I get this fixed. Childs age under 1, zip code 29651, income over $150,000
