Hey everyone,
As the title suggests – I’m in the hospital for abdominal surgery that’s been scheduled for months now.
The surgery and hospital stay won’t be cheap (I live in Minnesota, USA), but I was curious about how my health insurance is going to cover my stay since I haven’t reached my deductible yet.
I have a $3,000 deductible ($2,341.11 remaining) and once I reach that deductible, all services are covered at 100%.
I’m worried that since I haven’t reached my deductible, the hospital will charge my insurance and I’ll be left with a huge hospital bill. Or, will I only have to owe $2,341.11 since that’s all I have left with my deductible?
I’m not very knowledgeable on health insurance so any help would be appreciated. Thank you!
