So I decided to just live out of AirBNBs / rentals and travel the world but found health care choices to be the worst part. So before I changed my address to my relatives where I get my mail in WA I was in CA where they offered PPO through the exchange, the exchange in WA as far as I was informed only allowed me to do HMO so I picked Kaiser Virtual bc that covered virtual visits but they don’t make it easy to pick my meds up I basically have to ship them to my address on file and someone forwards to me. Also I don’t get any emergency room coverage or hospital until I meet a 8k out of pocket for out of network.
I’d sign up for one of those digital nomad plans but US coverage bumps the per month like way over $400 and my budget ideally is around $300. Since Im prob about half the time in the US so 6 months around the year Im guessing a PPO plan is prob my best bet maybe one that has a out of country add on thats affordable. Id like to at least pick up meds and see a doctor in any state for a discount.
Any advice here?
