Had an ER visit with CareFirst as my insurer. Received a CT scan (fortunately didn’t find anything) which is the bulk of my bill. The EOB lists the CT scan, lab services, and nearly everything else as denied (except for medical care), with the code 9ZB “Benefits for this service are included in the payment. Refer to Patient Responsibility for any portion that is billable to the member.”
Can someone help translate this? My EOB shows that I owe my deductible and ER co-pay, but didn’t add the amount denied that I would owe the provider, which is several thousand.
