I have both dental and medical insurance from aetna. Recently I have my wisdom tooth extracted. My dental claim was denied because “You have coverage under both our medical and dental plan. These charges are being processed under the correct plan”.
I’m pretty sure my medical plan doesn’t cover tooth extraction, except for accidental injury. Even more I’m in HDHP plan, which means I’m on hook for the full charges.
Is there any way to fight this? Or I’m stuck with my HDHP plan. Then what’s the use of dental insurance?
