Dental – Does 6 month window between visits still apply if I switch providers?

My last dental cleaning was in early October 2020. I’m currently scheduled for another in mid-April. I’d like to go sooner than that, if possible, to qualify for a physician’s visit benefit through my accident insurance (dental and eye dr visits count toward this). Normally I know I’d have to wait 6 months between visits to be covered. However, my employer sponsored insurance coverage changed effective 1/1/21, and I now have dental coverage through another insurance provider. Would that mean I’d be covered if I moved my appointment up? I’m in Ohio.
