My dentist said I was denied for the crown lengthening procedure but my insurance is saying that crown lengthening is included for the restorative or prosthodontics procedure when performed on the same date. And that since they’re in network, they shouldn’t be charging me for the crown lengthening. Can someone explain what this means? My dentist is saying they can’t do my crown because my insurance denied it. But that was my insurance’s explanation. I attached a link to my insurance’s pre authorization form. Can someone please explain this to me? I’m suppose to be going in this Monday so I’d like to know what to say. I feel like this may be their attempt to swindle more money out of me or that the rep I spoke to was misled. Please help!
