Doctor says I have to pay full price if I haven’t met my deductible, but my insurance billed me at my co-pay price. What should I do?

I see a psychiatrist in New York City. I’ve only had a few appointments with him so far. Every time I call to make an appointment, the receptionist reminds me that if I have not met my insurance deductible then the price is $170, which I send to them via Zelle (money transfer app). I just checked my claims page on my insurance website and this is the breakdown of cost for the claim for my most recent visit with them:

Billed by provider: $220
Plan discount: -$72
Allowed by plan: $148
Plan paid: -$118
I owe: $30

If I’m understanding this correctly, I should’ve only had to pay the doctor $30, not $170. I need to make another follow-up appointment and I know the receptionist is going to tell me again that I need to pay the full $170. So my questions are: 1. Does that sound correct? Despite this claim, do I still have to pay $170? (I know the information I gave is very limited, I apologize. I can try to give additional info if needed but I don’t know what other info is important for this question). and 2. If in fact I do not owe $170, what should I say to her? How can I explain it to her, seeing that I barely understand it myself?
