I am having a nightmare with my insurance United PPO and Walgreens/CVS. Previously, I had no trouble with Kaiser insurance to cover this fully but Walgreens is telling me the cost is $1400 with insurance. I have a manufacturer coupon that says
“This offer is only valid for patients 18 years of age or older with commercial insurance, including commercial insurance without coverage for Uceris. Eligible insured patients must pay the first $25 of their co-pay and eligible insured patients without coverage for Uceris must pay the first $25 of out-of-pocket expense.”
Walgreens is telling me that, even with the coupon, I have to still pa the $1400 because my deductible has not been met. Does this make sense? What does the coupon have to do with the deductible? Then I went to CVS and they said they do not have a contract with my insurance so I will not be able to fill it there. How can a huge company like CVS not have a contract with a huge insurance like United? What a mess!! What to do? Ideas? Thoughts?
