Hi everyone! I’m 21f on my mom’s insurance plan. She worked at a Nabisco plant that recently closed down, so her insurance coverage with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois is ending. I believe her new insurance will be Horizon BCBS of New Jersey. I currently have the Nexplanon birth control implant and I’m due to have it replaced in February but because of insurance it may get pushed back. Does anyone know if the NJ branch covers Nexplanon? I can’t find anything definitive online – I do know they have to cover some birth control but knowing if they’d cover my new implant would be extremely helpful since it costs $1000 without.
