Hi,
I am signing up my parents on Healthcare, gov for 2022 coverage (I’ve never used this website before). Ages; Mother = 64, Father = 61.
1) Will I have to submit two applications separately? It seems like one application picks up both incomes and the fact they both want insurance through the marketplace. Are they required to each have their own account on Healthcare, gov?
2) I have the option of employing just one of them to my husbands business for $1,500 a month. I know my mother will have to report she is Medicaid eligible in 2022 (and won’t qualify for the subsidized plan cost after that time). If she is the income earner, does my father get to keep his reduced cost plan through her continued income? Or should I just hire my father instead since he can won’t be Medicaid eligible for another 4 years.
Hope that makes sense, thanks for reading.
