My 1 year old daughter was recently admitted to the hospital for treatment of RSV/bronchitis. She was admitted for a little over 28 hours.
Today when I got home from work, I received a letter from our insurance carrier, Anthem, saying they were asked to review the claim and were denying coverage. I’m assuming this means they already denied, hospital asked to review, and they denied again. Essentially the letter said the treatment was unnecessary because she recovered so quickly? That’s what I interpreted at least. My question is, now what? Do I contact Anthem? The hospital? Am I up shit creek? Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.
