Expecting a septoplasty; new job has health insurance and I have no idea what plan to choose.

I very recently saw a doctor who told me my nose has all things wrong with it (deviated septum, something to do with the turbines, and something about how one nostril collapses when I breathe too hard), and that if allergy sprays didn’t work, I’d probably have to have surgery.

I also JUST got a new job- three days prior to this appointment, actually- and they offer health insurance. I’ll definitely be kicked off Medicaid with my pay rate boost, so I need to select a plan.

I am a single person with no health issues outside of the nose. The policies are: PPO 2500/0%/3750 w/HSA $86/month (called the family option) PPO 500/20%/5000 $127/month (called the single option)

(deductible/coins/oop max) PReventative care is covered by both.

Here are the choices side by side: https://imgur.com/a/62QbAwd

I don’t really have extra money lying around, but I don’t want to scrape by assuming that I just won’t have any health problems or won’t need the surgery. I do take three very run of the mill rxs and really really appreciate having a therapist.

age 30, Ohio, I make $20/hr so … not rich.
