Experiences for Healthcare Alternatives – especially Philadelphia American Health Plans

I like in PA and was using Sedera for a year before the damn state decided Sedera was no longer able to operate in PA. For two people at 40 years old we paid about $550/month with a $500 initial Unsharable amount per incident. We ended up being able to use it in 2021 and it was great. In PA our options for Health Plan at our two person income are expensive. Like $700-$900+ per month for initial deductibles ranging from $5000-$14500 before anything is covered. We found a local broker who deals with Philadelphia American Health Plan. It’s not ideal, and likely won’t cover everything BUT in my experience with health insurance the cash pay amounts are often WAY lower and half the time something ends up being out of network anyway and you get screwed even with regular insurance, and we’ll be saving around $150-350/month and – in some cases – may come out ahead. Just wondering if anyone else has had good or bad experiences with this company.
