Looking for information/reviews/feedback on Ambetter insurance. I’ve been on the high-deductible Blue Cross (Marketplace/subsidized) insurance for several years and haven’t had issues other than the fear of an accident and figuring out how to pay the $8700 deductible if something happens. This year, Ambetter is providing an option with a low monthly premium, low ($1700) deductible, and low ($1700) out-of-pocket maximum. Plus, I can stay with my current PCP.
I figured there had to be a catch, and there is… Ambetter gets TERRIBLE user reviews. I’ve read through a ton of them, and most have to do with difficulties contacting Ambetter after claims/payment errors.
Please let me know your stories if you have experience with Ambetter. I need to make a decision soon.
TIA!
Edit: I’m in Tennessee and considering the Ambetter Balanced Care 30 plan.
