Fidelis Initial Determination Denial Notice – Fidelis seems known for this – however, I have a twist

I’ve had several denials of late, however I received a box of AT LEAST 500 pages – and almost definitely more – of denials and appeal paperwork.

The fudged up thing here is that they go back to (at least) November of 2019!

I was with Medicaid as a primary then. In the summer of 2020, I went to SSI primary and then August of 2022 I went to SSD/Medicare as primaries.. Fidelis has been secondary all along and I’ve never had a problem with denials outside of some medications. That being said, I’ve found that things that were not covered by primaries were regularly covered by Fidelis. Now I have things that were always covered by them (counseling is the first thing I saw when flipping through) are suddenly not being covered but were allowed to be continued for 6 months before I was notified they weren’t covered even though my primary didn’t cover it.

I don’t know what to do other than to call Fidelis, but there are sooooo many claims that I wouldn’t know where to begin. How do I approach things that were never challenged more than 2 years ago, but now they seem to have reversed their decision? What about the hundreds and hundreds of others they sent in a $16 package that I got yesterday? Any ideas on what the legality of that is?

Thanks for reading through this. I hope it’s not too much and I don’t want to cause anyone here an inconvenience.
