Hey all you wise people. I finally got a big boy job (30K a year is the offer) and it is more than double what I have made for the past 10 years. I’ve been on Medicaid/Passport Molina my entire life and live in Kentucky. I am super confused and lost. I don’t know the marketplace very well, I’m terrified that if I press the wrong thing I will screw myself over, and I want to keep my regular doctor as cheap as I can. I get an infusion bi-weekly (covered entirely by passport/molina) and am nervous I am going to lose that by making more money.
What is my next step? What do I need to be aware of? How do I do this without throwing away my only shot to get out of poverty while also balancing my health?
Any advice would be very, very much appreciated.
